The Growing Up In Digital Europe (GUIDE) / EuroCohort survey will be Europe’s first comparative birth cohort survey on child well-being. It will be an important source of high quality longitudinal statistical evidence to support the development of social policies which will enhance the wellbeing of children, young people and their families across Europe for many years to come.
Research
Today, few data exist to assess the child well-being situation in Europe in comparison to rest of the world. The GUIDE/EuroCohort survey aims to fill in all these gaps and to conduct a large longitudinal European survey that is comparable between countries.

A major international survey on children’s well-being

The Growing Up In Digital Europe (GUIDE) / EuroCohort survey will be Europe’s first comparative birth cohort survey on child well-being. It will be an important source of high quality longitudinal statistical evidence to support the development of social policies which will enhance the wellbeing of children, young people and their families across Europe for many years to come. It will take place by 2027.

A pilot survey in 5 countries (Croatia, Finland, France, Ireland and Slovenia) took place in 2023.

27 partners from 18 countries have already been mobilized.

The French component is carried out by the French Institute for Demographic Studies (INED)
